Introduction • Suspended sediment loads are influenced by climate, geology and tectonics, soils, basin size and slope, land use and management.
Use all the existing data provide an estimate of sediment loads from eachwatershed and per Bay segments.
Results Information from these studies will be combined with information from other studies mainly through mass budgets to provide a more complete picture of temporal trends and spatial patterns in contaminant loads in the Bay We hope to learn where it might be the most appropriate to apply limited resources to achieve mass loading target, loads avoided target, or a sediment concentration target.
