Crisis in Manchuria Japan wanted to increase it’s wealth due to the depression 1932, Japan invaded part of China known as Manchuria China asked for help from the League The League spent a year reviewing the information, then ordered Japan to leave Japan refused to leave, decided to leave the League of Nations Japan was a strong trading partner and Britain and France didn’t want a war so nothing was done to Japan The League had failed at protecting one of it’s own nations
Crisis in abyssinia Benito Mussolini (Italy) wanted to expand his empire, prepared to invade Abyssinia LoN tried to talk Mussolini out of invasion, created a secret pact that would give part of Abyssinia to Italy Mussolini ignored the League and invaded anyway Abyssinia asked for help from the League, they did nothing and Italy took over their country The League had failed again
