  2. Thesis Fashion of men and women began to change in the 1920’s.

  4. Outer Wear • Dresses were shortened • Longer jackets were worn outside • Cloche hats were worn to accent the short hair • Many women wore a headband with feathers.

  5. Undergarments • Corsets were finally disappearing. • This was the start of the bra • Abdominal belts that helped flatten the stomach. • Stockings were rolled down to expose the knee.

  6. Hair Styles • The “bob” was in. • Finger waves and curls were the in thing • Many women “trained” their hair 1920's

  7. Dresses • Dresses were shorten • Made of loose material in order to dance • Brighter colors • Bare skin was exposed

  8. Coco Chanel • Began in the 1920’s • Changed the way women wore their dresses • Her fashion then affected fashion now Coco

  9. Men

  10. Changes • Wide-legged trousers • Style Driving • Athletes • Pull over sweaters • Suspenders

  11. Formal Wear • Black evening wear • Tailcoats • Starched white shirts • Bow ties
