Masters Degrees • M.S. in Engineering • M.E. in Engineering • M.S. in Liberal Arts and Sciences • Each has: • Thesis option: 8 courses + thesis + oral exam • Non-thesis Option: 11 courses + written exam • Core Classes: • Analysis of Algorithms (COT 5405) • Operating System Principles (COP 5615) • Computer Architecture Principles (CDA 5155) • Programming Language Principles (COP 5555)

  8. Ph.D. Degree • Only through Engineering • 90 hours: • 15 courses • research • Dissertation • Oral/Written Examinations: • Comprehensive: knowledge of research area • Qualifying: proposed research topic • Final: defense of dissertation

  11. 3/2 Program • Options: • Engineering: BS in CEN (126) + ME in CEN (30-33): 144-147 hrs BS in CEN (126) + MS in CEN (30-33): 144-147 hrs • Liberal Arts and Sciences: BS in CIS (120) + MS in CIS (30-33): 138-141 hrs

  12. 3/2 Program Minimum Admission Requirements • GRE: 1100 (V+Q) • TOEFL: 600 • GPA: >= 3.3 • 3 of 4 Courses: • CIS 3020 - Introduction to CIS • COT 3100 - Applications of Discrete Structures • CDA 3101 - Introduction to Computer Organization • COP 3530 - Data Structures and Algorithms • Admission is competitive!
