  5. Good Manufacturing Processes • Regulations governing the preparation, packing, and holding of dietary supplements under conditions that ensure their safety. • What government agency enforces these?

  6. The Accessory Nutrients • An accessory nutrient is something other than a vitamin, mineral or herb that we can supplement with. An accessory nutrient would be taken to help enhance health, although not essential. • Could possibly be classified as “conditionally essential”. Why?

  7. The popular accessory nutrients • CoQ-10 • Carnitine • Glucosamine • Melatonin • Probiotics • Flavonoids • Phosphatidylserine
