Key Result Area 2 • Promote efficiencies in air quality management - reduce inconsistent EPA regional oversight • Objective: By December 2008, policies to address inconsistencies across EPA regions. • Outcome: Less dispute between WESTAR member states and EPA over policy interpretations.
Key Result Area 2 (cont’d) • Regional Haze - • By January 2008, assist states in developing approvable regional haze SIPs. • By January 2006, regional haze SIP review protocol
Key Result Area 2 (cont’d) • By December 2005, advocate for changes to the Natural Events Policy. • By March 2006, resolve technical constraints to preparing PSD increment analyses. • By January 2007, develop an improved policy approach to PSD.
