    2. TEKANAN UDARA Tekanan Udara (TU): tekanan yg diberikan udara krn beratnya pada tiap 1 cm2 bidang mendatar dari permukaan bumi. Diukur dlm milibar tekanan baku pd permukaan laut dgn Barometer air raksa atau Barometer aneroid (1 atm = 760 mm Hg = 1.013,25 mb). TU paling besar di permukaan laut, semakin ke atas makin menurun, udara makin tipis. TU turun 1/30 x setiap naik 300 m pd atmosfer bawah (= turun 1 mm Hg tiap naik 11 m).
