Harper Elementary School Welcome to Third Grade “Soaring to New Heights” in 2013-2014 Ms. Stoddard’s Class A New Year, A New Start Weekly Papers I would like to take this opportunity to welcome you and your child to third grade! This year will be an exciting year for everyone involved, and I feel very fortunate to share it with you and your child. I will be teaching your child all academic subjects. Throughout the school year, you may need to contact your child’s teacher. The best way to get in touch with me is to write a note in your child’s agenda, and I will try to respond to it by the following day. In addition, you may also call the school at 229-225-2622 or email me at stoddarda@tcitys.org. Weekly papers will be sent home every week. Your child will bring home a “Weekly Folder” that will consist of all graded assignments from the previous week, as well as any important information given out by the school. These grades will be the ones that will determine your child’s report card grades. Please review the folder and its contents, sign the progress reports, and return the folders to school with your child the following day. If at anytime you would like to discuss your child’s progress, please let me know, so that we can schedule a conference. The only time that does not work well is directly before school starts. This time is used to prepare for the day’s activities. Thank you! Classroom Supplies 1 pack of loose leaf notebook paper (regular lined) 4 packs of #2 pencils 6 composition notebooks (hard cover) One 1 ½ inch binder Pencil bag (no boxes) 1 pack of glue sticks 1 box of crayones 1 box of Kleenex 1 Bottle of hand sanitizer 1 container of Clorox wipes 1 pack of dry erase markers Agendas Within the first week of school, your child will be receiving an agenda.
