  1. 2nd May to be handed in Thursday 8th May 2014 Mathematics We are starting to look at sharing/dividing. This is a new topic for us and we are working very hard! Please use sweets/counters etc to help them solve the following problems. For help in how to explain this please log on to our class web page where Mrs North has done a video demonstration. There are 3 children who have 6 sweets, they neeed to be shared equally. How many sweets will each child have? There are 2 dogs with 4 bones, they have to share the bones so each dog has the same. How many bones will the dogs have? There are 4 penguins with 12 pebbles. The penguins need to share the pebbles equally. How many pebbles will each penguin get? Weekly Sentence This week we are looking at describing words and how to describe people. Can your child please independently (no help with spelling) write a sentence to describe themselves. Spellings Please support your child to learn these spellings. They should be copied down once for your child to look at, then covered up and written out again. That feet This meet The peek Literacy We are looking at characters in stories this week and how we can describe them. Please ask your child to draw their favourite character from a book. If they want to write a sentence to tell me about their character and what book they are from, that would be excellent! Please use this space to write any comments your child made when completing their homework. ________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ Thank you for your continuing support. Please read EVERY night even if it’s just a few pages. Remember to use your phonics to sound out the words.
