Important dates • Applications open 1 March of each year • Closing date for applications is 30 September each year. • Closing date for BCom Accounting, BCom Investment Management, BCom Financial Management and BCom Law is 30 June. • UP Open Day is 21 May 2011 on the Hatfield campus
Degrees offered • 22 different undergraduate BCom and BAdmin programmes • 90 postgraduate degrees from BCom Hons up to doctoral level. • A postgraduate diploma in Forensic and Investigative Accounting and a certificate in the Theory of Accountancy • Numerous short courses through CE at UP. Faculty specific admission requirements - 2012 • Appropriate combinations of recognized NSC subjects for admission to degree studies • Admission Point Score (APS) of between 26 – 30 • Life Orientation not included in the calculation of the APS • Mathematics for BCom & Mathematics or Maths Literacy for BAdmin • (Minimum level 4) • Accounting is not a prerequisite for admission for any BCom degree
Degree specific admission requirements – the selection placement model • Candidates applying for the • BCom Accounting, • BCom Investment Management, • BCom Financial Management • BCom Law • courses will be selected based on academic merit. • The APS, Mathematics and language will be considered in this selection process. • The closing date for these applications is 30 June.
