Introduction • Definition of Magnetic drive pump -. A type of Sealless Pump -. Utilizes an outer ring of permanent magnets to drive an internal rotating assembly consisting of an impeller, shaft, and inner drive member through a corrosion resistant containment shell • Application -. Hazardous and toxic fluids -. Heat transfer fluids -. Where high seal maintenance costs are considerations • Requirement for sealless pumps -. Based on the need for a clean and safe environment
