Success story of three Avalon University Graduates • We began Pre Med 1 on the island of Bonaire inSeptember of 2009.We had one grand vision of becoming physicians. • There were many things along and in the way – life experiences, negative influences, endless nights of studying for exams, hurricanes, USMLE Step 1, the struggles of maturing into young and responsible adults, dance performances, soccer matches, harsh attendings, USMLE Step 2, anxiety, needle pricks and month long courses of debilitating anti-retrovirals, overly frequent travelling, residency applications, uncertainty…The list can go on forever.

Success story of three Avalon University Graduates • We were simply dedicated and disciplined. • We have seen the miraculous healing abilities of the human body and can not overlook the power of the mind. • When all else failed, we leaned on each other for support. We made sure to grow stronger together. • We are privileged to be physicians.

Success story of three Avalon University Graduates • Avalon’s administration has provided us access into this respectable profession. • Our professors and preceptors have passed the knowledge and tradition of medicine unto us. • Our families have picked us up when we failed and pushed us to greatness.

Success story of three Avalon University Graduates • This accomplishment is not the end; it is instead a part of the larger journey of life. • Although it is certainly a tiresome and difficult journey, one should never complain. • We have all been blessed with the opportunity to prevent, diagnose, and treat disease. • More importantly, we have been blessed with the opportunity to treat humanity.
