Location The Golden Lion Tamarin lives in Brazil and Southern Mexico near the equator.
Their Habitat The Golden Lion Tamarin has a habitat in a rainforest with lots of trees.
They eat fruit, nectar, flowers, insects, and small reptiles. They do not roar. They whistle, chirp, whine, and cluck. It’s one of the world’s rarest mammals. Foods They Eat Information
Why They’re Endangered The Golden Lion Tamarin is endangered because people have destroyed their habitat. Also, birds of prey have eaten their food. Now there is only 36% left in the world compared to how many there once was.
Research People researched the Golden Lion Tamarin and found out that they are new world monkeys. This means that they live in South America.
Our Opinion! We all think that the Golden Lion Tamarin is a very unique and is an important animal to learn about. It is also VERY cute just to be a monkey.
