  7. Mini-lesson (about 10 minutes) • Teaches a strategy, such as: • Writing • Spelling • Reading skill/strategy for the week • Vocabulary • Grammar • Begins each Daily 5 session Focus Lessons

  8. Teacher meets with small groups to work on Reading strategies listed on the CAFÉ menu board. Strategy Groups

  9. Teacher meets with students individually to discuss writing or work on their reading goals. Individual Conferences
