What is Law & Public Safety Tech Prep Program? • It is a partnership between CMCTHS, local colleges, and the Cape May CountyPolice Academy.
Tech Prep provides our students with the following: • College credit. • Special law enforcement class one certification. • Emergency communication officer certification. • First responder First Aid/ CPR with AED certification.
Exploratory Class The Law and Public Safety Exploratory program provides an overview of the three years of the Law and Public Safety program. Through a variety of career focused presentations, role play activities, laboratory experiments and a career research project, the Exploratory student will be exposed to basic concepts, terminology and skills needed to intelligently analyze the Law and Public Safety program and decide if they want to pursue it in their high school career.

Interdisciplinary Project Murder and Mystery at Cozy Crest Haven • Motor Vehicle accident • Homicide Investigation • Forensics Analysis • Journalism • Expert Witnesses
Articulation Agreements • Agreement with Atlantic Cape Community College for students to earn between 3 and 6 college credits in Criminal Justice, provided they attend ACCC and enroll in the Criminal Justice Program. • Students may earn up to 12 credits from Cumberland County College (same criteria must be met)
Certifications • Special Law Enforcement Officer Class One • Emergency Communications Officer • First Aid / CPR with AED • Various police courses
Career Opportunities • Seasonal Police Officer • 911 Dispatcher • Protection Officer • Life Guard Many other criminal justice careers are available upon the completion of college degree(s) or training academies.
