E-DU User Manual Library Academic Liaison & Reference Division August 2013
About E-DU is an academic search engine of China Academic Library & Information System (CALIS). It is built-to-purpose, designed specifically to support large-scale ingestion of collections from over 700 Chinese academic libraries, including print holdings and electronic collections, and to allow users to search across CALIS massive collections in a single search box. Interlibrary loan and document delivery service are imbedded in E-DU. Our users may access to the full text through their unified CALIS ILL account. Request a book • Identify user’s location by IP address and display the university’s name, city, province , nationwide • e读中心模式通过IP识别用户身份分别显示:所在学校、所在市、所在省、全国 • Refine your search using left facets
Request a book • Borrow the book from other library, click 借书 • Ifyou haven’t logged in, the login message will show up again; • Follow up the descriptions step by step • Fill out the request form
Request a book • Fill out the request information form as complete as possible, then click “提交” • Check the process of your request by logging in your CALIS ILL account at http://ill.jalis.org.cn/gateway • If your request is handled successfully, an arrival notice will be popped out
Request an article • Clicking“文献传递”torequest full text of the article; • Login message will show up again Ifyou haven’t logged in; • Follow up the descriptions step by step • Fill out the request form
