Quick Curador General -Sunset Zoological Park Complete MOU with City of Asunción -2002

  3. “Foundation” Building 2009 An MOU implemented between Municipality of Asunción, Junta Municipal and Fundación Ricardo Boettner for operational oversight of Zoo Asunción and Implemented the (1994!!!! ) -Organization Master Plan for Zoo Asunción- - As approved by Intendente Gallegos and Junta Municipal - October 2009 Hosted: President of Fundación Ricardo Boettner and Director of Jardin Botánico y Zoológico of Asunción on a informational tour of Kansas Zoos.

  4. Reinventing a Zoo – ANIMAL CARE!!!! It’s ALL about the animals Standard Cage for most smaller animals Most animals were housed in row after row of these dirty, inadequate rodent infested and “smelly” cages.

  5. Cat Facilities Jaguars (4) – Lions (9) Pumas (6) – Lions (7) Lions (6) –Tigers (2) Count ‘em 22 LIONS Jaguar Housing/viewing Puma Housing/viewing

  11. For the Visitors Grounds landscaped and sidewalks built Kiosks installed THE “WORKERS” Mayor Gallegos Dr.Scappini Marina Petrovic Some of the REAL WORKERS!!!!

  12. And, that’s a short review of what’s been going on with the Asunción Zoo Project over 15 years!!!!! There’s still much to be done …BUT things ARE moving!!!
