Background • Background • At January 17, 2012 RTF meeting • Changes to Manufactured Home Weatherization UES Measures presented • RTF members requested time to review the measure analysis for errors • Measure Workbook • SEEM Runs • Status changed from “out-of-compliance” to “under review” • Today • We’ll review the comments received and changes made • Note: The voluntary detailed review of the input assumptions and analysis within the workbooks was not performed. • Decide on proposal to change status to “active”

  3. Comments Received & Response • Erin Hope • Comment: Concern with difference in savings between SEEM92 and SEEM 94. Why difference in % savings between heat pumps and FAF’s? • Response: Adam and Erin reviewed reasons for change in savings (different changes in t-stat settings between HP’s and FAF’s, along with change to infiltration modeling w/SEEM94). Compared example SEEM92 and SEEM94 runs. • Comment: Concern with calibration for heat pumps. • Response: Agreement that collecting more data on heat pumps in manufactured homes to refine calibration is not a high priority.

  4. Comments Received & Response • Mark Johnson • Comment: Question on applicability of prime window replacements, U-Factor Upgrades Measures (“Class 35 to Class 30” and “Class 35 to Class 22”). Can this measure be used for glass only replacements or for window replacements where the existing window is better than a double-glazed metal framed window? • Response: Measure could apply any time a new NFRC-rated window is being installed (as long as another measure isn’t also installed). • Comment: Change infiltration reduction UES measure to “per CFM50” rather than per 100 CFM50” • Response: Agree – made change in revised workbook (ResMHWx_v3_1.xlsm) • Comment: Make it clear whether “average” and heating-system-specific measures can be combined within programs. • Response: Agree – made change in revised workbook (Delivery Mechanism or Program field) stating the two measure types are not allowed to be mixed within a program (must choose one or the other).

  5. Motion to Adopt “I _________ move that the RTF approve the Manufactured Home Weatherization UES Measure under active status with a sunset date of 5 years.”
