NIECR in Practice Before After #NIECR #NIPECICT13 • Phoning GPs to get Medication list/ Allergies • Phoning other hospitals to get more information on patients e.g. attending other clinics in other hospitals, blood results, x-ray results, discharge letters, etc. • Ordering notes from other hospitals • Printing out several blood results for anaesthetist • Bringing patients back to get repeat bloods • No need to phone GP • All current letters from other hospitals is available from ECR • Bloods results from all GP/hospital sources are available – several results are available to view at one time • Bloods can be repeated in GP practice – results are then available on ECR • No need to order notes to see clinic letters – only if anaesthetist requires to see past anaesthetic notes
