港式英語毛病 A. 句子結構 1. About Verbs e.g. This vitamin can find in carrots. [… can be found] e.g. Would Amy stopped lying? [Would .. stop] e.g. I am agree with you. [I agree with you.] e.g. When will you back home? [When will you come/go home? When will you be home?]
港式英語毛病 2. Topicalization e.g. Concerning the family, it will benefit from the changing roles of men and women in society. e.g. For my hobbies, I go hiking and swimming with my friends. For the food poisoning, it was due to improper handling of food in the kitchen. [The food poisoning was due to improper handling of food in the kitchen.]

About ‘there’/Not mastering relative pronouns e.g. Thereareover 60% of investors supported the … X S V S V Over 60% of investors supported the … S V There are over 60% of investors who supported the … S V e.g. Twenty-one passengers arrived late was the cause of the delay. 港式英語毛病 B. 詞彙 1. 廣東話直譯 e.g. to play (the) computer e.g. to open the light / air-con 2. Word Class – 忽略生字的文法 e.g. The public transportation in Hong Kong is very convenience. e.g. We very enjoy the concert.
港人“講”的毛病 1. 不發尾音 e.g. because, promote, wasted,divided, mind 2. 常混淆/懶音 /r/ /l/ /n/ e.g. road –‘woad’, 9 –’line’ not –‘lot’ 3. 長/短; 圓/扁 vowels e.g. 冇feel –‘冇few’ e.g. reveal –’revew’ e.g. deal with –‘dew with’
是否要 (繼續) 學文法? 是 貼示: 鞏固 SUBJECT + VERB –簡單的句子概念 如. For my hobbies, I go hiking and swimming with my friends. X My hobbiesare hiking and swimming. S V 鞏固 連接句子的認識 (ONE distinct S & V) 如: My hobbies are hiking and swimming, my girlfriend likes indoor sports. My hobbies are hiking and swimming, but my girlfriend likes indoor sports.
3. 鞏固常用生字認識 如 .. ‘enjoy’ – Verb I enjoyed the show very much. ‘enjoyable’ – adjective The show was enjoyable. 4. 持續/長期 – 增加詞彙
