Final goal: - Beam diagnostic system based on grid profiler and faraday cup read-out - Realisation of emittance-meter Work done: - Setup of an EPICS database to get data from faraday cup and beam profiler, and to set their position too. - Configuration of ADC boards, Digital IO boards, Digital Output boards. - Configuration of Stepper-Motor boards. - Use of CSS interfaces to set and use the diagnostic devices. - Final Setup of the hardware Conforto Nicola SPES Control System Group Marzo 2010
Digital Output Board: -Allows to set output bits -Actual usage: sets the position of the Faraday Cup. Farday Cup interface: - “FC IN” “FC OUT” switch button - Actual value (1nA = 1mV) - 10s, 30s, 60s averages (compress record, updated every 10s) - Plot of the actual value and the 60s average Conforto Nicola SPES Control System Group Marzo 2010

Problems: - Noises when using F.C. with suppressor - B.P. multiplexers are slightly different from each other - B.P. hardware problems on the horizontal grid Next steps: - Set final PV name for the new Pvs - Emittance meter Conforto Nicola SPES Control System Group Marzo 2010
