WHY BOTHER ? Consider the following: • A majority of our work force has twelve years or less formal education. • One of every five employees is a minority: American Indian, Asian, Black or Hispanic. • Women are overcoming traditional stereotyped roles in the work place and occupying a wider diversity of jobs and responsibilities.
WHY BOTHER ? • The majority of our nation’s work force has had no formal speech training beyond minimum class recitation in school. • One of every 20 employee, on an average, has a speech or hearing problem that would benefit from intervention.
