  3. System Major Organs • Lungs, Trachea, Bronchi, Diaphragm, Nasal Cavity, Pharynx, Larynx, Cilia, Alveoli, and Capillaries

  4. Functions • The respiratory system provides oxygen to the blood cells so other cells can get oxygen. The system also removes carbon dioxide.

  5. How Does It Work • The oxygen goes into the nose and is filtered and moistened. Then it goes • into the lungs through the Trachea. The air goes through the Bronchi and • to the Alveoli where it enters the red blood cells.

  6. Interactions • Skeletal- ribs protect lungs • Circulatory- provides oxygen for blood cells
