  5. Sunday Afternoon on the Island of La Grande Jatte His masterpiece-took him 2 years to complete.

  6. Bathers at Asnieres Was not hung in the salon but behind a bar.

  7. Circus His last work which was not finished.

  8. Why he is important Georges Seurat is important because he invented and used a different technique called pointillism. Pointillism means painting in dots of color.

  9. Favorite Facts I like the fact that he created and used pointillism. I also liked the fact that he uses bright colors and contrast like in his Circus painting.

  10. Reactions and Opinions I think his paintings are really nice because they make me happy and the techniques he used were really cool. I like Sunday Afternoon and Bathers paintings because they makes me feel like I’m sitting in the grass in the picture, with the people.
