Voyaging Through CSE3 Lab Section A54 April Phuong Visual Programming with Scratch Computational Thinking Data Analysis and Visualization with Excel Scratch is a programming language developed by the Lifelong Kindergarten Group at MIT Media Lab to help young people learn how to develop computer programs. With Scratch I was able to create different games such as Ping Pong and Tic Tac Toe. Computational thinking builds on the power and limits of computing processes, whether they are executed by a human or by a machine. With Computational Thinking, we are able to solve problems, design systems, and understand the power and limits of human and machine intelligence One of the most common uses of a spreadsheet is using it to collect and record data samples. We worked with and analyzed a large dataset describing ocean temperatures in La Jolla collected automatically from a buoy over the last 8 years. Presentation of Information with Word & PowerPoint Image Analysis and Manipulation with Photoshop With PowerPoint, I was able to present my information and projects in an organized manner. Overview Information technology (IT), is "the study, design, development, implementation, support or management of computer-based information systems, particularly software applications and computer hardware."Students learn concepts and skills necessary to effectively use information technology. The course material will be useful now and throughout life.
