Juxtapose (verb) • Juxtaposing Shaquille O’Neal with Mr. Gantz really showed the NBA star’s height; however, the English teacher did feature some mad hops.
Onerous (adjective) • The onerous sound of the bell told me I was late for American Studies; moving against my will, I plodded to class. Mr. Ewing was going to be irate.
Demographic (adj/noun) • In a thorough demographic study, Irish vegetarian fishermen over 30 who were originally from the Midwest but moved to Texas were more likely to vote for Obama 50% of the time. • The survey showed an interesting demographic: men in this sample were more likely to vote for McCain.
