  3. What is the Goal of a PSA • Persuade audience to take action about a service, cause, institution or issue • It must be: • important enough to broadcast • relevant to the broadcast audience

Things to keep in mind Your message should be simple, clear and: • Create awareness of the problem or issue • Show the problem/issue is important • Communicates new information about problem/issue • Promotes a change in behavior • Gives information to people who can influence change in others

  11. More things to keep in mind • Provide accurate information • What tone do you want to create • Serious • Humorous • Sad • Seriousness lends to: credibility/believability
