What the research shows us: • Families play a critical role in children’s development & school success • If families have a strong connection to school the likelihood of a student “falling between the cracks” is lessened • Family engagement is critical to school success • When families are engaged in their children’s education: Student test scores and grades increase Behaviors decrease Attendance improves Overall outcome of graduating dramatically increases
