  3. Ratios • A ratio is a comparison of two quantities by division. You can write a ratio in different ways. • Three forms of ratios: • Word • Ratio • Fraction

  6. Rates • A rate is a ratio that compares quantities in different units. • A unit rate is a rate that has a denominator of 1. Examples of unit rates include unit prices, gas mileage, and speed.
