Abstract Example of Eco-friendly high school Government’s Policy About Energy Saving and Carbon Reduction Green buildings in Taiwan Experiment Content
Abstract • Stella Matutina Girls’ High School is an example of eco-friendly high school… • Our campus is full of trees and grasses. We reuse trash whenever it is possible. We use newspaper instead of plastic bags when lining waste bin to contain rubbish. →
Abstract • Government’s Policy About Energy Saving and Carbon Reduction 1. The recovery and recycling of resources is vital to the environment 2. Ministry of Economic Affairs’ Industrial Development Strategy 2020

Experiment- Motivation • the relationship between the temperature and the number of windows • what kind of material is better in keeping the house cool? • Do plants help cooling down the house?
Experiment- Goal • First to know that… Boxes = Houses Holes = Windows • We wish to come up… A diagram about the relation for the temperature and the number of holes. Different statistics for six different materials.
Experiment • Tools: 1) 7 boxes which all have same holes on them.2) 7 kinds of materials : black papers, blue and white paint, cement, aluminum foil, foam boards, and plastic 3) 42 thermometers4) plants
Experiment • Steps:1) Cover 7 boxes with 7 kinds of materials, and cut 6 holes on them to put in the thermometers.2) Cut holes on the box covered with black papers.
Experiment • 3) Put the box outdoor, and close the holes in turns. ↑5 square holes ↑2 square holes ↑3 square holes ↑only a line of holes ↑no holes
Experiment • 4) Find the number of holes that can keep the box coolest, and cut all the other boxes into the same. ↑blue paint ↑foam boards ↑white paint ↑aluminum foil ↑cement ↑plastic
Experiment • 5) Put the other 6 boxes outdoor, and record the temperature in all the boxes.
Experiment • 6) Add plants to the boxes
Experiment- Result 1) The first experiment: different holes
Experiment Holes (℃)
Experiment 2) The second experiment : different materials
Experiment Average temperature of different materials (℃)
Experiment 3) The third experiment: surround the boxes with plants
Experiment comparison of the temperature of the boxes with and without plants (℃) blue paint white paint Foamboards Aluminum foil plastic cement
Conclusion • low temperature: • 1. Increasing numbers of windows • 2. white paint • 3. Plants
