Mission • To improve the health and well-being of Maine people by funding: • Scientific laboratory, clinical and outcomes cancer research • Professional and public education regarding knowledge and advances in cancer medicine • Support programs for patients, survivors, their family and friends Welcome

History Welcome • MCF • Established 1976 • Special events significantly increased grants • Statewide reach has not increased at same rate • Public knowledge of MCF beyond events is low • Pink Tulip Project • Fundraising garden model • Sponsors important but limited in early years • Publicly visible gardens

What Will Success Look Like? • Pink Tulip Project: • There will be a recognized connection between Pink Tulip gardens and Maine Cancer Foundation • We will have publicly visible gardens in every county • Regional Steering Committees will be formed • Maine Cancer Foundation: • The public will recognize MCF name, brand and • mission • MCF will see more requests for funding Welcome
