A Peek At the Week… • Sight Words: she, do, how, their, if • Letters: short i letter patterns- (ex. it, in, ig, ip) • Math: Numbers and Counting 0-20 • Science Unit: Fall/ Pumpkins • Language: We will begin learning about American symbols. We will focus on sentence structure and vocabulary. • Homework • Practice letters, sounds and sight words nightly. • Read and record it on your reading log. This should be done nightly, if possible. Students earn stickers for every 5 books and rewards for every 25 books read at home. • Math Sheet • Have your child read these words: pig, sit, tin, rip, fin, jig, pit Welcome to our class Zaiden! We now have 21 students. Please send in enough snacks for 21 students on your child’s snack day. If you would like to donate items for our class’ treat bags please send it to school with your child by October 29th. We currently have 20 students. Some ideas may include pencils, candy, erasers, trinkets, notepads, small individually wrapped snacks, etc. Fall Fun Day We will have Fall Fun Day on Friday from approximately 8:15-10:30. Parents are invited to attend. If you plan to eat lunch with your child please notify the office by 8AM. Please bring a jacket if it is cool. We will be both indoors and outdoors. VIP Would you like to volunteer at the school? You can be a Very Involved Parent. The state requires training for all volunteers working with students. Training will be November 6 at 9AM and 3PM.
