MARKING A SCORECARD The 2 most important actions are 1. Ensure your gross scores are correctly entered 2. Sign your own card (and have marker sign it)
MARKING A SCORECARD Mark in the GROSS score at each hole correctly and clearly Mark your own gross score on side of card (as a record, and to check at end of round) Make sure the marker has signed your card Sign your own card, and the card you have marked
MARKING A SCORECARD You should NOT sign a card, knowing it to be incorrect. To do so could lead to your disqualification.
STROKE INDEX & HANDICAP The index of a hole is a measure of the difficulty of that hole The indices go from 1 (most difficult) to 18 (easiest) Examples: A player with a handicap of 19 has 2 shots at index 1, and 1 shot at all other holes A player with a handicap of 25 has 2 shots at holes index 1 to 7, and 1 shot at all other holes
STABLEFORD Most popular scoring system 0 points for more than nett bogey* 1 point for nett bogey 2 points for nett par 3 points for nett birdie** Birdie = 1 under par** Bogey = 1 over par*
STABLEFORD with 1 shot with 2 shots 3 on Par 3 3 points 4 points 4 on Par 3 2 points 3 points 5 on Par 3 1 point 2 points 6 (or more) on Par 3 0 points 1 point Works the same way for Par 4’ and par 5’s Birdie = 1 under par** Bogey = 1 over par*

DRESS CODE NO CAPS or STOCKING FEET in Bar/Restaurant Remove Golf Shoes and leave in locker room Always bring shoes to change in to if you intend to enter foyer, go up the stairs, or enter the bar/restaurant area Wear casual shoes in Bar/Restaurant
PLAYING TIMES Summer and Easter Holidays (April to October) Mon/Thurs/Fri 8.00am to 12.00noon and after 5.30pm Wednesday 8.00am to 11.00am and after 7.30pm Saturday After 4.30pm Sunday After 4.00pm Winter (November to March) Mon/Thurs/Fri 8.00am to 12.00noon (non school days only!) Wednesday 8.00am to 10.00am (non school days only!) Sat/Sun After 2.30pm All above times subject to Competitions and Outings. Check timesheets on website.
DUTY OF CARE Practice in designated areas only (see information on Player Responsibility on Website and in Foyer) 2 (two) balls maximum can be played during practice on course, if playing on your own Bring bag of sand. Repair your own, and any other divot or pitch mark you find
