Sharyland Transition Taskforce (STTF) Update8/5/2014 RMS Meeting
Updates on Sharyland Transition to Competition • Sharyland Utilities Completed the Transitioning as of 5/30/14 • All ESIIDs have been assigned to the correct substations via 814_20 (this item was left from the transition out of SPP into ERCOT) • Disconnect for Non-Pays are now being worked per PUC Substantive rules • A final FAQ (look back) has been added to the STTF site • A total of 23 Left In Hot premises have been identified and Sharyland is following §25.489 Treatment of Premises with No Retail Electric Provider of Record • Sharyland’s remaining issues: • Meter Reads for final reads containing the incorrect reference id • Meter Reads for cancel/rebill containing the incorrect reference id • Not all meter exchanges created 814_20s – currently researching and resending
Lessons learned • Is there a desire to work through the lessons learned by the Market • Believe there are items that need to be documented that would assist the next team moving a new TDSP into the ERCOT market • There are clearly enhancements that can be made to the TXSET guides to increase transparency (exp. Unmetered Lights) • Encourage REPs to bring forward learning opportunities also
Market notice • Sharyland will make a change to their banking institution for EDI payments in 2015 • All REPs will be required to perform Penny Tests in Q1 2015 • Sharyland is currently working with ERCOT to determine timing for these tests • Sharyland provided notice effective August 2015, commercial customers with load exceeding 400 kW at a single meter point will be required to meet the Power Factor requirements contained within Sharyland’s Tariff for Retail Delivery Service (Tariff). A copy of the notice can be found on Sharyland’s website http://www.sharyland.com/retail-electric-providers/ • Pursuant to the agreement in Docket No. 41474, Sharyland filed Docket 42699 to revise its Retail Transmission Rate and establish separate TCRF charges for IDR and Non IDR metered customers
