Who Are We? • Non profit organization • Public safety education program • In all 50 states, and International, including Mexico and Canada • Mission – Eliminate deaths and injuries caused by collisions at highway-rail grade crossings and trespassing on railroad rights-of-way.
Where and Why it Started Idaho, 1972railroad employee; fatalities reduced Nebraska, 1973significant reduction in fatalities Texas, 1977Our state joined Operation Lifesaver in 1977
