Intros Kevin Smith, a Certified Emergency Manager, serves as the Director of Emergency Disaster Services for the Florida Division of The Salvation Army. He began working The Salvation Army in 1996. His notable disaster deployments and leadership roles include the 1996 Value Jet crash, support provided to operations at the Pentagon and the establishment of the overall feeding program at Ground Zero in New York City.
Intros Dan Risteen is a major with 29 years with theMassachusetts State Police and serves as the Division of Field Services Troop C Commanding Officer. Troop C provides coverage for 85 cities/towns in Central Massachusetts. A primary responsibility for the past 3 years has been the BostonMarathon, where he served as the Deputy Incident Commander for the State Police. This has included operational planning for safety and security at the Hopkinton start line venue.
