  2. Organizing is KEY Set aside time to: • Review emails from SDE/AIR • Get familiar with TIDE • Determine WHO will be assessed • Communicate with your people - don’t assume they understand the emails going out from TIDE

  3. Strategies I use to organize myself: Notebook Timeline

  4. Master list: Keeps me focused on what needs to be done.

  5. Teacher Training Considerations • How long will your training last? • Can you fit “other” topics in during this time? • Time to work on IEPs? • Reviewing current IEPs to ensure testing is listed correctly? • Who will need to come? • We used to pull Monitors in each year for training, but they are the same people, so I do a training powerpoint for the teachers to do with their monitor and they sign electronically • Familiarizing teachers with important sections of the TAM • I read the TAM ahead of time and mark the pages/lines they need (e.g. when to stop giving the assessment, what to do when the student isn’t responding, etc) • Have flags, post its, highlighters, etc and let teachers mark up their TAMs • This seems to be impactful - when I get questions later down the road, teachers are referring back to specific pages of the TAM

  6. Timeline/Checklist This is the most important thing to my Test Administrators and School Test Coordinators! This is the format I use… Prior to the start of the assessment, I have Test Admin send the STC and I a copy of their draft testing schedule. This can change, but it helps teachers understand how much of their time is needed and to plan around any holidays (e.g. inservice, Spring Break, etc). This is the most difficult task for NEW teachers.

  7. Follow Up Weekly: • Check testing progress in TIDE • Send email to individual Test Admin and STC if any red flags • Pro Tip: Review emails from TIDE - DO NOT let these slide! I almost missed a few things because I thought I could skim them later! • Consider if some of this information might need to be highlighted (literally); if so, send to Test Admin and STC Every 2-3 weeks: • Send group emails to check on folks and/or highlight any information from TIDE
