PHILOSOPHY STATEMENT • I Believe: • Every individual child has the right to learn in an environment that encourages academic and personal/social growth and expansion • All students can acquire the skills to be successful across their lifespan • Developing relationships with the community will aid to enrich the child’s academic, social and personal growth • Every student has the right to learn in a safe, well maintained and supportive environment • In order to guide the development of the school counseling program, data must be collected and analyzed to foster student achievement
My Goals: • -Promote individual student achievement • -Implement building blocks for academic, social, emotional and personal growth • -Promote acceptance and diversity • -Promote standards that will ensure improved attendance, behavior and school safety • -Advocate for individualized education plans • - Provide appropriate tools and resources within the community
All School Counselors: • -It is our goal to provide comprehensive academic, personal/social and professional guidance • -Bridge the communication gap between the administration, parents/guardian, and teachers • -Advocate to improve student learning and systematic change • -Prepare students to be high achieving, life-long learners and productive citizens who are well prepared to meet the challenges and high expectations of the twenty-first century
MISSION STATEMENT • My mission is to ensure personal/social, academic, and career achievement through the implementation of a comprehensive counseling program by collaborating with other stakeholders and advocating for continued student success and positive systemic change; to develop a comprehensive curriculum that upholds our philosophical beliefs and to advocate to help every student achieve their fullest potential.
