What is Leadership? A process by which a person influences others to accomplish an objective and directs the organization in a way that makes it more cohesive and coherent
Is a manager a leader? • Yes, no, maybe • A leader inspires others to achieve higher goals • A manager has the authority to accomplish organizational goals • Leaders can inspire without authority • Managers can “boss” without inspiration
