  2. Action • Action films usually contain the theme of good vs evil. This is a clear theme that most action films contain. • They also usually feature some sort of battle where there is a lot of action fighting and usually some impressive stunts to adds to the intensity of the film and gain the audience attention and involvement • Finally actions films usually end by a pursuit which usually concludes in victory for the hero in the film and this gives the audience hope and a sense of fulfilment after watching the film.

Romance • Romance films often explore the themes of love at first sight, unrequited love and often take us as the audience on a journey about the characters love and how it progresses throughout the Film. • Romance films often feature the main characters having some sort of obstacle throughout the film whether that’s other relationships, financial issues or family that threaten to break their union of love.

Thriller • Thrillers are dark, engrossing, and suspenseful plot-driven stories. They often use long shots and eery music to create suspension for the audience and allow them to be invested in the film. • The main conventions of thriller films is to allow the audience to be invested and alert with excitemetn anticipating what is happening throughout the piece • Thrillers also use tension and excitement as their main elements of the thriller texts

  8. Sc-Fi • Scientic fiction is a hybrid genre and the usual conventions of this drama include ; • Time travel. • Teleportation. • Mind control, telepathy, and telekinesis. • Aliens, extraterrestrial lifeforms, and mutants. • Space travel and exploration.
