End of the Day Procedures • Bus riders report to the cafeteria at 3:00 pm • Students must be picked up by 3:30 pm • Student cannot use their cell phones in the building • Students must clear the building as soon as possible • Go to the side of the street (using the x-walk) that you get picked up on
Student Harassment No student shall engage in or be subject to harassment, violence, threats of violence, or intimidation by another student through conduct or communication that is based on race, sex, religion, national origin, or disability. Students who violate this policy are subject to the disciplinary sanctions outlined in the Code of Student Conduct.
Absences • Excused – parent(s) / guardian(s) must provide a written explanation of the reason(s) for each absence within two school days after each absence. After the two day time window the absence will be unexcused. • Students suspended will be coded as “suspended” and will be permitted to makeup their work.
Early Warning • Students will be referred to the Early Warning attendance program who have: • 1) Five or more unexcused absences • 2) 10 or more questionable excused absences • 3) 10 or more unexcused tardies (parent must check the student in to be excused). • 4) Up to three out-of-school suspensions.
Assigned / Owned Possessions Students and parents are responsible for all items assigned to them at the school level as well as any personal items which students have in their possession at school.
Dress Code • Two more things on dress code… • Students found in violation will be required to change. Time missed from class will be unexcused and students must make-up work missed. Disregard for the dress-code will result in disciplinary action. • The final decision regarding dress will rest with the building principal.
Weapons No student may have possession of a weapon or anything designed, made or adapted or used for the purpose of inflicting death or serious physical injury. Such weapons include, but are not limited too: BB gun, pellet gun, air rifle, starter gun, knives of any type, box cutter, club, baton, blackjack, or metal knuckles.
