  2. ¿Cómo eran nuestros taínos? Los taínos eran de baja estatura, bien formados, cara ancha con pómulos salientes, nariz chata, ojos razgados, cabello lacio, negro y largo.

  3. Hechos de madera y cañas, techados en paja. BOHIOS

  4. Vivían en aldeas llamadas: Yucayeques

  5. Ocupaciones Los hombres pescaban…

  6. Cazaban… Jutías

  7. Construían canoas…

  8. Las mujeres… Sembraban… CONUCOS

  9. Hacían casabe… El pan de los indios, hecho de yuca.

  10. La autoridad máxima del yucayeque era el CACIQUE

  11. Organiza las actividades. Posee el bohío más cómodo. La mejor canoa, el mayor número de esposas y el cemí más poderoso.

  12. Juego de pelota, pero también tiene un sentido religioso. El Batú

  13. BOHIQUE Curandero, ofrecía ceremonias religiosas

  14. El cemí Figuras de piedra, madera, oro o barro que representaban dioses.

  16. Los taínos creían en la vida después de la muerte y eran enterrados con alimentos y otras pertenencias.
