Welcome to the HC Class of 2011 Paul Walsh • This date marks the beginning of your last 97 days as a Holy Cross student and provides a great opportunity for us to review and remind the senior class of their obligations and responsibilities in the days and weeks to come. Today marks the beginning of the final 97 days as a Holy Cross student before you become a Holy Cross graduate. As the saying goes, a student for a short time but an alumnus for a life time, Once A Crusader, Always a Crusader.
97 Days from today March 23rd, 2011 is Tuesday 28th June 2011 • Holy Cross Class of 2011 Graduation Mass; A mass to celebrate the graduation of this year’s class will be held on Tuesday 28th June beginning at 12:00 pm at St. Paul the Apostle Church on Taylor Kidd Blvd. Fr. Rene LaBelle, Holy Cross Chaplin will celebrate mass for the graduates, family and friends. • Holy Cross Class of 2011 Graduation Ceremony;The graduation ceremony for this year's graduatingclass will be held on Tuesday 28th June beginning at 7:00 pm in the gymnasium.

Potential HC 2011 Graduation List Published • A list of students who are potential graduates of Holy Cross and eligible to receive their Ontario Secondary School Diploma and take part in the June 2011 graduation ceremony will be published in the May Newsletter issued on Monday, May 2nd . • The completion of thirty (30) credits (including compulsories), • forty (40) hours of Community involvement, and • The successful completion of the Literacy Test or Literacy Course, are the key components of the diploma requirements. • Students may contact their counselor regarding any questions concerning graduation.
Graduation Invitations mailed home • Four tickets per graduate
Valedictorian Selection Process begins Wednesday 11th May Mr. S. Roberts d) Valedictorian, Salutatorian, and Class representatives
Community Service Hours documentation • Friday 13th MayMrs. A. Cantarutti • The community involvement hours (40) are to be completed and submitted to Student Services by Friday 13th May 2011. • The Crusader Certificate hours (60) are to be completed and submitted to Student Services by Friday 13th May 2011.
Final Course Documentation deadline f) Wednesday 22nd June Mrs. A. Cantarutti • It is the student’s responsibility to ensure that all requirements (including night school courses and on-line courses) have been completed or will be completed. The final marks for on-line and night school courses must be submitted to HC Student Services by Wednesday 22nd June 2011,

6. 2011 Graduation Fee Thank you to all who have submitted their graduation registration fee as part of the Crusader Activity Fee in August 2010. The Main Office will be contacting graduates who have not yet submitted their $ 35.00 fee

9. Dress for Graduation Night • This is an important time not only for you but also for your family, friends and our school community. • Please dress appropriately, young men in dress shirt, tie, dress pants, socks and shoes and young ladies in street length dress. • All members of the graduating class will be wearing a graduation cap and gown which goes below the knees.
10. June message to the Class of 2011. • I am pleased to offer my congratulations to you as a member of the Holy Cross Class of 2011. We are all proud of your achievements and optimistic for your future. • Please encourage your family to come early, arriving well in advance of 6:45. • I look forward to seeing you on Tuesday at 12:00 for mass and that night at the school where the ceremony will begin at 7:00 in the gymnasium. A few reminders: • 12:00 Graduation Mass at St. Paul the Apostle Church • 5:30 Gown fitting with Ms. Dowsley & Committee; • 6:15Holy Cross Class of 2011 portrait will be taken by Mr. Prior in the Main Foyer; • 6:35 Graduates will line up alphabetically for the Procession of the Grads; • 6:50 Graduate Processional begins to move to the gymnasium • 7:00 Graduation Ceremony begins
