ABET notifies you by e-mail or letter. • Institution will have already approved you. • Ask yourself: • Is there any conflict of interest? • If so, report it IMMEDIATELY! • Are there other commissions involved? • The previous two steps should already be complete for your 2014-15 reviews. • How It Starts

  36. Behave in an ethical and professional manner. • Disclose real or perceived conflicts of interest. • Recuse yourself from discussions or decisions related to real or perceived conflicts of interest during the commission meetings. • Read ABET policy in Accreditation Policy and Procedure Manual document (Section II.C). • Conflict of Interest

  37. NOTE: As a TC/Commissioner, you have access to related content on the ABET website. • Contact institution and set an on-site review date. • Coordinate for simultaneous reviews. (IMPORTANT!) • Enter on-site review date on ABET website for TCs. Triggers assignment of PEV(s). • You SHOULD already have done this. • Send “TC Intro” letter/e-mail. • Meet institutional representative(s) in July. • Next Steps

  38. Use postal mail or e-mail. • Address initial e-mail/letter to the dean, with a copy to the designated ABET contact (if different). • Ask the dean if he/she prefers you to work primarily with the designated contact or someone else. • Copy dean on all significant correspondence. • Correspondence (cont.)

  43.
