Physical Attributes. Narwhals are a mottled, speckled, dark grey with less grey on their sides.They have a white belly.Male narwhals have a beautiful, spiraling tusk protruding from the left side of it's mouth.The tusk is actually a tooth.Males can weigh up to 3,200 pounds. Females can weigh up to 2,000 pounds..

    3. Habitat The narwhals live mainly in the high Arctic. They are Often amongst the packed ice and generally offshore. They are large concentrations in the David Strait,around Baffin Bay and in the Greenland sea. Narwhals are able to dive deep in the Arctic Ocean.

    4. Eating Habits

    5. Natural Enemies. A narwhals’ number one enemy are men. Men have hunted the narwhals to near extinction Many have hunted the narwhal simply for it’s priceless tusk,and let the rest of the body fall to the depths of the sea.

    6. Family. Narwhal whales means corpse whale because of its grayish mottled color. Narwhals congregate into groups of 5 to 10. They give birth to live young.

    7. Special Skills They try to kill their own prey with their big pointed nose. Females’ teeth are almost embedded which makes them practically toothless . Male Narwhales tusk is about 1\3 or more as long as the total body. The Narwhal whale is able to dive deep for their prey. Male Narwhals play sword fighting with their tusks. This is called tusking.
