  4. Facts about the Narwhal 2.The male weighs up to 1,600 kilograms while the female weighs up to 1,000 kilograms. 1. He can dive at depths of up to 1500 meters under a sheet of ice! 4.The narwhal’s scientific name is Monodon Monoceros which is Greek for one tooth one horn. 3. The narwhal tusk is as long as 3 meters while the body is 4-5 meters. 5.The narwhal is in the same family as the beluga whale. 6.He lives in the Arctic Ocean. 8. The narwhal is near threatened. 7. A newborn narwhal calf weighs about 79-100 kilograms and is 1.5 meters long.

  5. Conclusion The narwhal lives in the Arctic Ocean. It has a tusk 3 meters long and a body that is 4-5 meters long. It can dive to 1500 meters under a sheet of ice. Other than the human the narwhal’s predators are the orca and the polar bear. It’s prey is Greenalnd halibut, Gonatus squid, Polar and Arctic pod, and Shrimp.
