  3. Update on Regional Housing Pot Capital investment in housing - new affordable housing - private sector renewal - decent homes in social sector - gypsy and traveller sites

  4. Regional Housing Body • Advised Ministers on priorities for the South West region • Initial submission in June 2007 • Finalised December 2007 • Included minimum target outputs for new affordable housing set by Government • Following lobbying £23m boost for PSR (but 30% less than previously)

  5. Regional Housing Pot 2008-11 £826m • New affordable housing (86% £711m) • Private sector renewal (9% £73m) • Decent Homes in the social sector (3% £28m) • Gypsy & traveller sites (2% £14m)

  7. Key Policies • Targets sit under the headline £ figures • Moveable feast (Ministerial changes, rural / Taylor review) • Current position summarised in handout
