SUMMARY - 050800 DEC 05 Total Relief Effort State President Relief Fund • DONATIONS TO PRESIDENT’S RELIEF FUND • Cash Deposited in SBP - Rs 6.600 Billion • Cheques presented to the PM - Rs 1.987 Billion • Direct Deposits in SBP /Others - * Rs 4.413 Billion • Contribution of SBP - Rs 0.200 Billion • FOREIGN ASSISTANCE • Gross Pledges/ Contribution - # US $ 6182Million • Credits - US $ 3984 Million • Grants - US $ 2198 Million • Collection of Pak Missions Abroad - US $ 27.828 Million • Total - US $ 6209.82 Million • Note • * It includes Foreign Currency deposits amounting Rs 0.632 Billion. • # It includes cash funds amounting US $ 200 Million received from • World Bank as credit and US $ 9.776 Million received from • Donors Countries as grant. • Cash Fund Received so far is 237.6 Million. US $ 200 million from World Bank, US $ 9.776 million from Donor Countries and US $ 27.828 million from Pakistan Missions abroad. Air Effort

SHELTER HOMES/CONVALESCENCE CENTERS (CC) ESTB BY MOI • 2 Relief camps are being estb at Hattian and Brotha under Govt of Punjab. • A tent village is under construction in general area Fateh Jang and Chakwal. • All logistics including bedding, food, medical care and medicines being provided by administration

  20. WATER SUPPLY • Muzaffarabad. Main water sup 90% restored. • 20 x Water Points for drinking water functional since 12 Oct • 8 x Water Purification plants (3xAustrian, 2x German, 1x Canadian, 1x So-Safe and 1x IRC) installed – total capacity 5,10,000 liters per day • Water pumping system installed – supply of water through 8x bowzers • Existing water treatment plant (4 MGD) has started functioning. • 3 Pumping stations are made functional • Bagh. Supply upto main tank restored. Water supply in cantt and surrounding area restored. Repair of distribution lines in city in progress – presently water being supplied through 5 x bowzers • Rawalakot. Normal water supply restored • Balakot. Water being supplied through 5x bowzers & 3x filtration plants. 1x water treatment plant (3 - 5 lac lits per day) in collaboration with Austria and Sweden has been installed and started functioning.

TENT VILLAGES NWFP AJ&K • 333 x tent villages comprising of 6196x tents accommodating 70256 persons estb by army and managed by civ in dist Battagram • In Distt Mansehra 113 small tent villages accommodating 36097persons estb by NGOs. • 19x Tent schools with 3262students and 117 teachers 20 x TENT SCHOOLS HAVE BEEN ESTABLISHED IN AK

  27. COLLEGES- NWFP Note: 1. In addition to above, 03 Girls Colleges, one at Battagram and two in District Mansehra are under construction. Out of these under constriction colleges, the college at Balakot has completely be damaged. 2. The colleges opened in the buildings are also partially / badly damaged, where academic activities have been started in open as well as in classrooms. The administration of Govt: College Battagram has not been provided tents in spite of the repeated requests, whereas the building has been damaged. 3. Some of the colleges have been opened today, therefore, the exact number of students attending the classes after the re-opening cannot be exactly reported.
