  3. Pre - Enrollment • Voluntary • Highly Encouraged • Significantly reduces enrollment time at designated enrollment sites • On-Line • https://twicprogram.tsa.dhs.gov/TWICWebApp • Average pre-enrollment - 7.6 minutes

  4. Enrollment • Applicable to any individual requiring unescorted access to secure areas of Coast Guard regulated port facilities and vessels • ONLY designated enrollment sites • First come – first – serve basis • Pre-enrollees: DO NOT wait to be contacted

Enrollment • Applicants must provide appropriate documents to verify their identity • https://twicprogram.tsa.dhs.gov/TWICWebApp/BringToEnroll.do • Applicants having undergone an equivalent background check can provide documentation to qualify for a discounted enrollment fee • Merchant Mariner License (MML) • Commercial driver’s licenses (CDL) HAZMAT endorsement • Registration fee payment

  8. Fees & Payment • $132.50, credential valid for five years • $105.25, only applicable to workers with current / comparable background checks • Fee ONLY applies to first TWIC application • TWIC expires date comparable background check expires • $60 card replacement fee • lost, stolen or damaged

  9. Fees & Payment • Acceptable forms of payment • Credit card (ONLY Visa or MasterCard) • Money order or certified/cashier's check • Payable to Lockheed Martin • NO personal checks or cash • Employers may purchase pre-paid debit cards • Prepaid Visa® card • http://www.twiccard.com

  10. Timeline • Pre – Enrollment • NOW • Enrollment • Designated sites • TSA warning order two weeks before site opens • Opening notice federal register one week prior • Issue TWIC • In person • ONLY at the designated site worker enrolled • Approximately 20 days following enrollment
