The Oregon School Report Card Steering Committee was convened to develop a new state school report card that aligns with NCLB waiver and represents key stakeholders. The committee's main charge is to create a clear, easily understood report card that drives high-level strategy, facilitates public accountability, and shows progress toward excellence. The redesign process includes pre-design evaluation, prototype evaluation, and design optimization phases with input from focus groups and statewide surveys. The final design is three times more appealing than the existing report card. Deliverables include preliminary and final recommendations for phasing in new report card elements over time.
